Yesterday marked a very special milestone, one whole year since this incredible cake shed journey began in North Hykeham.
A year ago, taking that first step felt like a leap into the unknown. There was nothing quite like it in the area, and honestly, there were plenty of nerves and “what ifs” along the way. Opening a little cake shed from scratch was both exciting and daunting in equal measure.
Fast forward to today, and what started as a small idea has grown into something truly amazing. That original shed has expanded into a larger space, making room for even more delicious bakes. Not only that, but a second shed with a fridge has been added (because let’s be honest, more cake options are always a good thing!), and the newest addition… the dog shed, making sure even four-legged visitors feel part of the experience 🐾
But the real heart of this journey hasn’t just been the sheds themselves, it’s been the community. The support has been nothing short of incredible. Every single visit, every kind word, every bit of encouragement has helped turn this little venture into something far bigger than imagined.
Because of that amazing support, the cake shed is now open 7 days a week, from 10am to 8pm, giving even more people in and around North Hykeham the chance to stop by and treat themselves.
This milestone isn’t just about looking back, it’s about celebrating everyone who has been part of the journey so far, and looking ahead to what’s still to come.
