Every time we pull up to a cake shed, we tell ourselves we’ll try something different… and almost every time, we end up picking the same favourites. There’s just something about knowing what you love and when it comes to cake sheds, a solid go-to order never disappoints.

So here’s what we almost always pick (and why).

🍫 The brownie (non-negotiable)

If there’s one thing we never leave without, it’s a brownie.

Fudgy, rich, slightly gooey in the middle, it’s the ultimate cake shed classic. Whether it’s a simple chocolate one or something a bit more loaded with toppings, it’s always our first choice.

If a cake shed does a good brownie, you know you’re onto a winner.

🍪 Cookie vs blondie (the ongoing debate)

This is where things get a bit more divided. Cookies are a safe option easy to eat on the go, and you can’t really go wrong with a chunky chocolate chip. But then there’s the blondie. Slightly softer, a bit more indulgent, and often packed with white chocolate or caramel.

If we’re being honest… it usually ends up being both.

🧁 Something different (if we’re feeling adventurous)

Once the essentials are covered, we’ll sometimes try something new maybe a cupcake, a slice of cake, or whatever stands out in the moment.

This is usually how you discover the unexpected favourites.

🛍️ The “one for later” pick

There’s always at least one extra item that gets bought with the intention of saving for later… Whether it actually makes it home is another story.
